MPDR agrees to scale up YDF programme for mass youth inclusion

ISLAMABAD, May 5 (APP):Prime Minister Youth Affairs (PMYA) programme has recommended Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform (MPDR) to extend its facilities in their programme Young Development Fellows (YDF).
According to an official, the Programme was to scale it up for accommodating more youth in the initiative where the MPDR had agreed to raise number of beneficiaries in the YDF programme.
He said YDF Programme was a remarkable initiative to ensure active participation of young professionals in national development by creating a pool of young development fellows.
“It hires 40 young professionals annually for a period of one year to impart on-the-job training in running Government business,” he informed.
It was agreed that the government would work on scaling up the said programme
to accommodate more young development fellows through it annually.
