Pakistan not to take dictations from anyone: Shehryar Afridi

ISLAMABAD, Apr 14 (APP):Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi Sunday said that Pakistan would not take dictations from anyone and would make all its decisions itself.
Speaking at ‘Paigham-e-Islam Conference’, organized by Pakistan Ulema Council here at Jinnah Convention Centre, he said that no one should dare to think that the state of Pakistan would act on anybody’s directions.
“We promise not to bow down before anyone. Pakistan’s decisions will only take place in Pakistan and not abroad,” he said.
He said provision of education was the responsibility of the state and work was being done on the plan to also impart worldly education to students at seminaries along with the religious education.
The minister said that through Fifth Generation War attempts were being made to create disunity among Muslims. He urged religious scholars as well as all Muslims to get united to foil the nefarious designs of all those who were out to create disunity and unrest.
He said he had high esteem for religious scholars. He expressed great joy on meeting with Imam-e-Kaaba Dr Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al-Juhany, who also attended the Conference. “Allah has selected Imam-e-Kaaba from 1.75 billion Muslims. I became extremely happy when I met him yesterday,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Imam-e-Kaaba underlined the need for unity and brotherhood among Muslims. He said Islam teaches people to live in peace and harmony.
