Conference on Expeditious Justice Initiative to be held at FJA on April 13

ISLAMABAD, April 11 (APP):A one-day National Conference on “Expeditious Justice Initiative“ is going to be held here at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) Phase –II Building on April 13.
The inaugural and concluding sessions will be chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa who is also Board of Governors chairman of the Academy.
Over 300 participants are expected to attend this unique sensitization and awareness generating national conference.
Those who will attend the conference include; Chief Justices of provincial High Courts, District and Sessions Judges, Judges of the newly-established “Model Criminal Trial Courts”, Provincial Health Secretaries, Prosecutor Generals of the provinces, Inspector Generals of Police, Inspector Generals of Prisons, prosecutors, investigation officers, among others.
The Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) and the Monitoring and Evaluation Cell (M&EC) as per their mandate given by the National Judicial ( Policy –Making) Committee are organizing this national conference as a kick-start activity for sensitization and awareness of the stakeholders of the criminal justice system for improved justice delivery.
The FJA has the privilege to become an execution center for a noble vision of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan- “Expeditious Justice Initiative”- in pursuance of whichrecently “Model Criminal Trial Courts “have been set up in every district of the country to conduct daily trials of murder and narcotics-related cases.
This focus of this initiative places emphasis on fairness and efficiency of our justice system through efficient service delivery within the exiting legal framework and optimum utilization of the available resources.
