ISLAMABAD, Mar 31 (APP):Health Minister Amir Mehmood Kiani said that the standard health facilities and reforms in health institutions, through improving their services, were among the top priorities of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
Quality healthcare services that included round the clock availability of paramedic staff in public sector hospitals around the country would be ensured, he said while talking to PTV news channel.
He said extension of Sehat Insaf Card to all employees of public and autonomous bodies including universities, medical institutes, lawyers and journalists has been extended to all parts of the country.
He shared that eight million people living below the poverty line across the country would benefit from free medical facility under the PTI government’s Sehat Insaf Card Program.
The Minister said the government was taking revolutionary steps in health sector and their fruits would be appeared soon.
Amir Mehmood said efforts were being made to improve performance of government hospitals under the direction of the Prime Minister.
“No society can progress without spending on health and education”, he added.
He committed that the government will remove the deprivations of people they were facing for over seventy years.
