ISLAMABAD, Mar 26 (APP):The Belorussian heavy trucking company BELAZ has entered the Pakistani market with a heavy dumping truck having capacity of 45 tons of load as the Greaves Pakistan- a subsidiary company of Ghulam Faroque Group made an agreement with the Belorussian company BELAZ for commissioning of mining trucks in Pakistan.
“This is the first step as we are looking forward to boost our trade with Pakistan especially in heavy machinery, agriculture, pharmaceutical, and other areas in future,” said Ambassador of Belarus in Pakistan Endrei Ermolovich while addressing a ribbon cutting ceremony of the dump truck at Cherat Cement Factory, Nowshera on Tuesday.
“This year is a very special one in the history of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan because the two countries are marking the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations,” he said adding “over the recent years we have managed to set every conditions for the full-scale development of Belarus-Pakistan cooperation”.
He believed that this first ever world known mining dump truck BELAZ in Pakistani market would be a substantial contribution of Belarus to the equipment and development of the cement and mining industries of Pakistan.
He said “today we are on the eve of the opening of a new page in our bilateral relations, since we see an excellent example of the progress of the cooperation in the sphere of industry, as well as exchange of advanced technologies with the Pakistani industrial complex.”
The Ambassador said Inter-agency contacts had been established and the Inter-ministerial working groups on industry, agriculture, science and technology, military and technical cooperation were operating successfully.
He informed that the two countries were actively preparing to the official visit to Belarus of Prime Minister Imran Khan in the second half of 2019 in accordance with the official invitation extended by the President of Balarus last year.
It should be mentioned that the head of our state attaches special importance to the development of friendly relations with Pakistan, he added.
Belarus is an export-oriented country and at the same time our economic potential in the field of industry, agriculture, pertro chemistry, machinery and others allows us to cooperate with many Pakistani companies, Ermolovich said.
Later, talking to APP, an official of Greaves Pakistan said that with the entrance of high quality BELAZ heavy mining machinery in Pakistani market, the monopoly of already existing two companies in Pakistan would be broken and there would be a 40 percent difference of price of trucks as well.
He said the dump truck was designed for transportation of rock mass in difficult mining and technical conditions of deep mines, at mineral deposit open pits on technological roads under various climate operating conditions.
Chief Executive Officer of Greaves Pakistan, Shehryar Faroque also spoke on the occasion.
