ISLAMABAD, Mar 25 (APP):Spokesperson of the Prime Minister Nadeem Afzal Chann on Monday said civil and armed institutions of the country had foiled the nefarious designs of Indian premier Narendra Modi, who was trying to defame Pakistan in a bid to win the upcoming Indian elections.
Talking to a news channel, he said Modi had been using the anti-Pakistan slogan for winning the forthcoming election in India.
All the foreign institutions and concerned elements in FATF were eying on Pakistan’s National Action Plan, he said adding there was a dire need to achieve progress in that regard.
Commenting on Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s support to government, he said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader had backed out of his statement of extending assistance to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) for streamlining the system.
To a question about heavy debt in gas sector, he said the previous government had left a huge debt in LNG sector.
To another question about overbilling issue, he said action would be taken against those found responsible.
Replying to a question about former prime minister’s health issue, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan had issued strict directives to provide all necessary health facilities to Nawaz Sharif.
To a question, he said Asad Umer should be given time to bring improvement in the economic sector.
He added that no body could judge the performance of any government in a short span of time.
