Govt taking steps to promote tourism: Fawad
LAHORE, Mar 17 (APP):Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Sunday said the government was taking steps, including announcement of the new visa regime, to promote tourism in the country.
The issuance of on-arrival visa to the citizens of 50 countries would help attract tourists and businessmen to Pakistan, he added.
He was talking to media persons after distributing awards, merit certificates and medals to the participants of Pakistan International Culinary Festival (PICF) competition 2019 here at Alhamra Cultural Complex.
The minister said such competitions helped in promoting the positive image of the country across the world. The government would also organize, support and promote such festivals in future to boost social and cultural activities, he added.
Earlier, the federal minister witnessed a food competition.
