Foreign office confirm six Pakistanis dead

ISLAMABAD, Mar 16 (APP):Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal Saturday confirmed that the New Zealand’s authorities have pronounced six Pakistanis dead, in the horrific terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch.
In his tweet, Dr Faisal said Sohail Shahid, Syed Jahandad Ali, Syed Areeb Ahmed, Mahboob Haroon, Naeem Rashid and his son Talha Naeem have been announced dead by New Zealand authorities. However, other three missing Pakistanis are still being identified.
He further said postmortems are being conducted as per local law. Finally, identification of dead bodies will be done before formal announcement of names.
“Our Mission and family members of the missing persons, currently in Christchurch, are assisting in this process,” he said.
Earlier on Saturday, Dr Faisal had released a list of Pakistanis that were considered missing.
The list included Zeeshan Raza, Father of Zeeshan Raza, Mother of Zeeshan Raza, Haroon Mahmood, son of Shahid Mehmood, Sohail Shahid, son of Muhammad Shabbir, Syed Areeb Ahmed, son of Ayaz Ahmed, Syed Jahanand Ali, Talha Naeem and Naeem Rashid.
