Capital Smart City Polo Cup to get under way

LAHORE, Mar 11 (APP):The Capital Smart City Polo Cup 2019 will get under way on Tuesday (tomorrow) here at Lahore Polo Club ground.
President Lahore Polo Club Malik Atif Yar Tiwana told APP that four teams including FG Polo Team/Master Paints, DCC/Artema Medical, BBJ Pipes and Master Paints have been taking part in this eight-goal tournament.
The inaugural match of the tournament will be contested between FG Polo Team/Master Paints and BBJ Pipes at 2pm while DCC/Artema Medical will compete against Master Paints in the second encounter of the day at 3:30pm. On Sunday (March 17), the finals will be played.
“The way the National Open Polo event was contested and witnessed by a great number of polo enthusiasts, it shows the increasing popularity of the game among masses and improving standard of polo in Pakistan,” said LPC chief.
He also lauded sponsors for sponsoring the polo events throughout the season and especially Capital Smart City for sponsoring the event.
He hoped that more sponsors will come forward to extend help to this game of kings and knights and will play their vital role in further promotion of polo in Pakistan.
