SC forms seven benches for next week to hear important cases

ISLAMABAD, Mar 10 (APP):Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa has constituted five benches at the principal seat Islamabd while two benches were formed at Lahore and Karachi SC Branch Registries to hear a number of important cases during the next week, starting from Monday.
The first bench comprising CJP Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Yahya Afridi while the 2nd bench Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan.
The third bench comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Faisal Arab.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Munib Akhtar make up the fourth bench, while the fifth bench will consist of Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel.
On Thursday, the formation of benches of benches would change as first bench would comprised of Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan while the second will consist of Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Yahya Afridi.
The thrid bench would comprised of Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah. Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel would form the fourth bench.
The benches would hear many improtant case including acquittal appeals against death sentenceand life imprisonment, service matters of government employees, case against extra Judicial killings of innocent persons in the premises of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, Application for Change of AOR and ASC filed by Ahmed Nawaz Choudhry, AOR on behalf of Jail Petitioner namely Muhammad Sadiq, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat v. The Government of Pakistan thr. its Secretary to the M/o Law, Justice Parliamentary Affairs, Islamabad & others regardinf (Report of Ali Raza regarding Holding of Elections of Punjab Football Association, Application on behalf of Mohsin Habib regarding loss of billions of rupees of exchequer case by National Insurance Compant Ltd. , suo moto action regarding unsatisfactory investigation in case FIR no. 544/15 unser section 420/478/471 PPC at PS Defence Lahore, banking recovery suits, election matters of parliamentarins, Ch. Muhammad Rafique v. Member (Judicial), Boaard of Revenue & others regarding transfer of Evacuee Land to Police Welfare Organization/Police Foundation and Subsequent Sale Transactions and transfer of Dr. Afia Siddiqui and other Pakistani Prisoners detained Abroad to Pakistan Prison.
A three-member bench comprising Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik, Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah would the hear the cases from Monday to Friday at SC Lahore Registry.
Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa and Justice Faisal Arab would hear the cases at SC Karachi Registry on Thursday and Friday.
According to case lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court. Furthermore, if the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
