Women to get equal opportunities: Governor Punjab

LAHORE, Mar 08 (APP):Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Friday said the government was committed to provide equal opportunities to women-folk in all fields.
Addressing women cricketers from Kinnaird College for Women University (KCWU) during a meeting at the Governor’s House here, he said women in Pakistan had made tremendous contributions in all fields and competed in all areas.
Punjab Governor Sarwar admired the skills of the women cricketers, adding that one day women PSL league would also be played in Pakistan.
He said Pakistan wanted relations based on parity with all neighbours including India but this desire for peace shouldn’t be deemed a weakness.
Sarwar said India accused Pakistan of aggression to hide his atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that Pakistan was moving forward on the diplomatic front while India stood isolated on the issue.
