ISLAMABAD, Mar 07 (APP):Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser Thursday said a Parliamentary Friendship Group with India had been formed and offered his Indian counterpart, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha to engage through the group for seeking peaceful solutions.
Speaking at an event at National Assembly to launch Parliamentary Friendship Groups here, he said it should be understood that war was not the solution as it added to the problems.
Parliamentarians and members of the diplomatic corps in Islamabad attended the event.
He said he established 93 Parliamentary Friendship Groups in the National Assembly. “This is the highest ever number of groups, ever created in the House. Parliament is the representative voice of the people and through this voice, we wish to convey that a democratic Pakistan wants peace, friendship and cooperation with the world.”
