ISLAMABAD, Mar 5 (APP):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Tuesday said the action launched against proscribed organizations in the country was not the result of any duress, but in pursuance of decisions taken in National Action Plan (NAP) and National Security Committee meetings.
Talking to India Today, he said Pakistan wanted lasting peace in the region and was determined to fulfill its international obligations.
The whole world was witnessing that who is striving for peace and who is igniting jingoism, he added.
Fawad said Pakistan had unilaterally released the arrested Indian pilot Abhinandan, while India contrary to this peace gesture, sent the dead body of a Pakistani prisoner Shakirullah.
He said India should do soul searching about its conduct, adding that Indian forces’ brutalities in occupied Kashmir was a matter of grave concern.
He said Pakistan was waiting for concrete evidence from India regarding the Pulwama incident and added that seeking evidence from India by Pakistan becomes an issue in India.
The minister said Pakistan believed in rule of law and added that evidence was needed to move forward.
He said Pakistan has blood relations with the people of Kashmir.
