ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (APP):Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Thursday said that international community including China was trying their best to de-escalate the recent tension between Pakistan and India.

Talking to media at Parliament House, the minister said Ambassador of China to Pakistan Yao Jing has informed about the latest development during meeting with him at Ministry of Railways.

Sheikh Rashid expressed the hope that today threats are less as comparing to yesterday,that’s why Pakistan Railways did not run Samjhauta Express between Pakistan and India due to precarious situation.
The minister said Samjhauta Express will ply on Friday, March 1, if problem was not created by the Indian side and if the train could not resume operations on Friday thenit will start routine operation from Monday.
He said that Hindustan must know about the fact that Pakistan Air
Force (PAF) has far better than Indian Air Force (IAF) as far as quality of
services is concerned.
The minister said Pakistan did not want war and it
was also informed by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in the meeting of the parliamentary leaders.
Quoting COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Sheikh Rashid said
war was not solution of any problems and they should work to de-escalate thesituation and they were ready for conducting investigations of Pulwama incident.
The minister said same stance was taken by Prime Minister
Imran Khan and Rashid hoped that the war would not took place as it could be a bloody,deadliest and last war bringing unmatched devastation.
The war could change the entire course of history, he said.
