LAHORE, Feb 23 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday inaugurated several projects worth millions of rupees in Dera Ghazi Khan and laid the foundation stone of many other projects.

According to a handout issued here on Saturday, the chief minister inaugurated Panahgah project, renovation projects of emergency and gynaecology wards in government hospital, and Kamal Park and City Park in Taunsa Sharif.Sardar Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of phase-II of Gujri Thukh Road (8.5-kilometre), which would cost Rs 112 million; repair and restoration of 28-km road from Sakhi Sarwar to Ronghan at a cost of Rs 197 million; 15-km long road from Azghani Bann to Soori Margi via Phakko worth Rs 195 million; and the roads Mumdani Tak, Hathi Matak, Barthi Tak and Noon Ghani, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 129 million. The CM also laid the foundation stone of Shahra-e-Khamosha, model graveyard in DG Khan tehsil, and restoration of 38 water supply schemes.

Earlier, he also planted a sampling at Dera Ghazi Khan Medical College.
On this occasion, he said that tree plantation campaign was needed to ensure a secure future, adding that purpose of planting a sampling at the medical college was to create awareness among students about the importance of trees. He said all planted trees should be properly looked after.
