Huzaifa continues his supremacy in ITF World Jr Tennis

ISLAMABAD, Feb 22 (APP):Pakistan’s top seed Huzaifa Abdul Rehman will face Bader Alabdullah of Kuwait in the Boy’s Singles final of Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships being played here at PTF Tennis Complex.
In the first semi final top seed Huzaifa Abdul Rehman (PAK) continued his winning streak by crushing Berk Ulas Enc of Turkey in a straight two sets match. In the second semi final, Bader Alabdullah of Kuwait beat Essa Qabazard of Kuwait in straight two sets match, as both the players displayed good tennis.4th Seed Berk Ulas Enc (TUR) and Togan Makzume (TUR) annexed the Boy’s Doubles Title by beating top seed Huzaifa Abdul Rehman (PAK) and Sohaib Khan (PAK) in a thrilling three sets match 1-6, 7-6(3), 11-9.
Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung (HKG) and Erica Kanna Hagi (HKG) clinched the Girls Doubles title by eliminating 4th Seed Anjalika Kurera (SRI) and Hannah Seen Ean Yip in well contested three set match 6-7(2) 7-6(3) 10-8.
In the Girls event; 3rd Seed Aysegul Mert (TUR) stunned her opponent Ji Hyun Kang of Korea in a straight set match by playing powerful forehand cross court and down the line drives.
In the second set Ayesgul did not allow her opponent to settle down and won the set without conceding a single game.
In the second semi final Arina Valitova from Russian struggled hard to win her encounter against Anjalika Kurera of Sri Lanka. In the first set Arina showed her supremacy of powerful ground strokes by playing combination of cross court shots.
In the second set Anjalika came back strong and showed tough resistance. Both the players held their respective serves, as the score went to 5-5. Arina played some excellent powerful shots down the line and broke Anjalika’s game by holding the 11th game. Arina won the set and the match to proceed into the final.
Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas Patron Pakistan Tennis Federation and Senator Salim Saifullah Khan President Pakistan Tennis Federation witnessed the matches and also interacted with foreign players for their visit to Pakistan and participation in the championship. They also invited the players and coaches to participate in future events in Pakistan.
Boy’s Singles Semi Finals: Huzaifa Abdul Rehman (PAK) beat Berk Ulas ENC (TUR) 6-2, 6-1; Bader Alabdullah (KUW) beat Essa Qabazard (KUW) 6-4, 6-2.
Boy’s Doubles Finals: Berk Ulas ENC (TUR) & Togan Makzume (TUR) beat Shaoib Khan (PAK) & Huzaifa Abdul Rehman 1-6, 7-6(3); 11-9.
Girls Singles Semi Finals: Arina Valitova (RUS) beat Anjalika Kurera (SRI) 6-2, 7-5; Aysegul Mert (TUR) beat Ji Hyun Kang (KOR) 6-2, 6-0.
Girls Doubles Final: Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung (HKG) & Erica Kanna Hagi (HKG)beat  Anjalika Kurera (SRI) & Hannah Seen Ean Yip (MAS) 6-7(2) 7-6(3) 10-8.
