ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (APP):Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) has published the provisional merit list for admissions to public-sector MBBS colleges, enabling aspiring medical students to check their admission status and merit positions for the 2026-27 academic session.
The university has advised candidates to review the provisional list carefully and verify their particulars to ensure accuracy before the finalisation of the admission process.
SZABMU is responsible for managing admission procedures, merit lists and relevant policy guidelines for its designated constituent and affiliated public and private sector medical and dental institutions.
The university also oversees admissions to various healthcare-related academic programmes, including Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Allied Health Sciences (AHS), while the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) provides the national framework for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).
Its major constituent institutions include Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Federal Medical College and School of Dentistry, Islamabad, which play an important role in medical and dental education and healthcare services.
