ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP):National Technical Focal Person at the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), Dr Altaf Bosan on Thursday visited Abbottabad to review the performance of the ongoing polio campaign and routine immunisation services at Basic Health Unit (BHU) Sheikhul Bandi.
During meetings with the Commissioner Hazara Division, Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad and district health teams, discussions focused on improving campaign quality, addressing immunisation gaps and strengthening district-level coordination and healthcare infrastructure.
Dr Bosan reviewed the measures being taken to improve vaccination coverage and strengthen routine immunisation services to ensure that all eligible children receive essential vaccines.
The meetings also highlighted the importance of effective coordination among district administrations, health authorities and frontline workers to address operational challenges and improve campaign outcomes.
Local leadership reaffirmed its commitment to supporting polio eradication efforts and accelerating progress towards a polio-free Pakistan.
