Senator Nasir Butt urges political parties to unite against terrorism
ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (APP):Senator Nasir Butt, on Thursday, urged all political parties to set aside their political differences and work together with unity and mutual understanding to combat the growing threat of terrorism in the country.
Speaking to a private television channel, the senator emphasized the need for national consensus and collective efforts to address the security challenges.
He said that political parties should adopt a common agenda focused on eliminating terrorism and extending full support to the country’s security forces in their efforts to restore peace and stability.
Responding to a question, he said that political differences were an essential feature of a democratic system and reflected the diversity of opinions in society. However, he emphasized that such differences should remain within constitutional boundaries and must not undermine national unity or the country’s broader interests.
Senator Nasir Butt also criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over politics of confrontation and acts of violence.
