RCB to launch three-day food safety, hygiene awareness campaign from Nov 6
RAWALPINDI, Nov 05 (APP):The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) will launch a three-day special food safety, hygiene and public awareness campaign from November 6 to 8 to ensure the provision of quality and hygienic food and compliance with health standards in the cantonment area.
According to an official press release, the campaign is being launched on the special directives of Headquarters Military Lands and Cantonments (ML&C) Department, with Cantonment Executive Officer Aamer Rashid directing the relevant authorities to ensure effective implementation.
The campaign will be supervised by the Assistant Health Officer and In-charge Food Control Cell along with their team.
During the drive, various food outlets, business centres and catering services across the cantonment area will be inspected to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and prescribed hygiene standards.
The administration will ensure strict enforcement of food safety and hygiene rules, while awareness brochures highlighting safe food handling and hygienic practices will also be distributed among business operators and the public.
The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board administration said monitoring and public awareness efforts would continue to ensure the availability of quality food and a healthy environment for residents.
