CM takes notice of alleged financial irregularities in Khanewal beautification project
LAHORE, Nov 04 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken strict notice of alleged financial irregularities in the Khanewal beautification plan.
The CM directed that the former deputy commissioner Khanewal be included in the investigation over advance payments made to the contractor, said a handout issued here on Wednesday.
The CM has also ordered the immediate arrest of the contractor and recovery of the funds. The contractor responsible for the beautification project of Akbar Bazaar, Khanewal, allegedly fled after receiving advance payment. The project also faced undue delays in its completion.
