ITP closes Rawal Dam Chowk-Serena Hotel road until further orders
ISLAMABAD, Nov 04 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have closed the road from Rawal Dam Chowk towards Serena Hotel until further orders due to construction work on the Kashmir Chowk Underpass, advising motorists to use alternative routes.
An ITP official told APP on Wednesday that traffic movement from Kashmir Chowk towards Rawal Dam Chowk and Faizabad would remain open as usual.
He said motorists travelling from Aabpara towards Rawal Dam Chowk and Park Road should use Garden Avenue via Shakarparian Road as an alternative route.
Similarly, traffic coming from Park Road and Faizabad towards Aabpara and Bhara Kahu has been advised to use Garden Avenue, Seventh Avenue and Srinagar Highway.
The official said motorists should allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys to avoid inconvenience during the construction work.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan said ITP personnel would remain deployed at different locations to guide motorists and facilitate smooth traffic movement.
