ISLAMABAD, Nov 03 (APP): Dr. Altaf Bosan, National Technical Focal Person for Polio Eradication at the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) on Tuesday visited Union Council Chamkani in Peshawar to monitor the ongoing November polio vaccination campaign.
During the visit, he attended the morning assembly and met Area Supervisors and union council staff to assess campaign progress, review operational challenges and identify areas requiring immediate attention.
He also conducted field monitoring, observed the performance of vaccination teams and supervisors, interacted with frontline workers and assessed household coverage and vaccination quality through cluster-level monitoring.
Dr. Bosan emphasized the importance of effective supervision, data-driven decision-making, accountability and timely corrective measures to improve campaign quality.
He stressed that coordinated field efforts and close monitoring were essential to ensure that every eligible child was reached and vaccinated against poliovirus.
