Parents urged to vaccinate children during ongoing polio campaign

ISLAMABAD, Nov 03 (APP):The Pakistan Polio Eradication Initiative has urged parents to ensure that all children under five years of age receive two drops of polio vaccine during every round of the ongoing Sub-National Immunisation Days (SNID) campaign, being conducted from November 2 to 8.
In a public awareness message, the initiative emphasized that repeated vaccination was essential to strengthen children’s immunity and protect them against poliovirus.
It called on parents and caregivers to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure that no child missed the life-saving vaccine during the campaign.
The initiative stressed that every child under five must receive two drops in each campaign, regardless of whether they had been vaccinated in previous rounds.
It urged communities to play their part in protecting children from poliovirus and supporting national efforts to make Pakistan polio-free.
