Dumper owners urged to ensure vehicle fitness, follow traffic laws:
SARGODHA, Nov 03 (APP):Superintendent of Police (SP) Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Sargodha Region, Farrukh Sohail Sandhu, on Tuesday urged dumper owners to ensure vehicle fitness, proper maintenance and strict compliance with traffic and environmental regulations to prevent accidents, protect lives and property, and control smog.
Addressing dumper owners and drivers at Pul 111 SB, Sargodha, during a special meeting, he directed them to obtain fitness certificates, maintain smoke-emitting vehicles and ensure that only licensed, qualified and physically fit individuals operate them.
He also advised drivers to avoid overspeeding and follow traffic rules. The SP delivered a road safety awareness lecture, heard participants’ complaints and sought feedback on the performance of PHP personnel.
He stressed that responsible driving and adherence to safety regulations were essential to reducing accidents and saving lives.
The dumper owners assured him of their full cooperation in implementing the safety measures.
