DG KDA visits China Industrial Zone, directs acceleration of ongoing development works

KARACHI, Nov 02 (APP): Director General Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari, conducted a detailed visit to the China Industrial Zone located in Surjani Township to review the ongoing development and construction activities and assess the progress of work across different sections of the project.

On this occasion, Member Technical/Chief Engineer Abdul Samad Jamlani, Project Contractor Faheem Mangi, Project Engineer Abbas Ali Khan, and other concerned officers were also present. During the visit, the DG KDA was given a comprehensive briefing on various phases of the project, ongoing construction activities, and the progress achieved so far.

He directed the officers and concerned staff to accelerate the pace of work and ensure that all development activities proceed in accordance with the targets and time-lines. He also emphasized that construction quality must be maintained at every stage, with no compromise under any circumstances.

Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari stated that the China Industrial Zone is not merely an industrial project but an important initiative linked to the economic and industrial future of Karachi. He said that such projects play a vital role in the development of cities, strengthening economic stability, and promoting industrial growth. He further observed that the operationalization of the industrial zone would not only encourage local trade and business activities but also create new business opportunities for both small and large enterprises.

The DG KDA said that promoting industrial and commercial projects is essential for the sustainable development of a metropolitan city like Karachi. Projects such as the China Industrial Zone can provide investors with a conducive business environment and better investment opportunities. He directed the concerned officers to ensure continuous monitoring of the project’s progress, resolve any obstacles through effective coordination, and ensure that all relevant departments discharge their responsibilities with dedication, professionalism, and a strong sense of commitment.
