DHO urges parents to ensure repeated polio vaccination

ISLAMABAD, Nov 02 (APP): The District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad has urged parents to ensure that children under five years of age receive two drops of polio vaccine during every immunisation campaign to strengthen their protection against the crippling disease.
In a public awareness message, the DHO highlighted the importance of repeated doses, explaining that each round of vaccination further strengthens children’s immunity against polio-virus.
The message was issued on start of the Sub-National Immunisation Days (SNID) campaign scheduled from November 2 to 5 in Islamabad.
Parents have been encouraged to ask polio workers questions during the campaign and seek accurate information about the importance and safety of repeated vaccination.
The DHO emphasized that ensuring every child under five receives polio drops during each campaign is essential to protecting children and supporting efforts to eradicate polio-virus from the country.
