RAWALPINDI, Nov 02 (APP): Police have put in place comprehensive security arrangements for the four-day anti-polio campaign, deploying more than 1,000 police officers and personnel to ensure the safety of polio teams.
According to a police spokesperson on Monday, security is being provided to 686 polio teams and 352 transit points across the district.
Police station mobile units, Elite Force and Dolphin Force personnel are also conducting patrolling in their respective areas to ensure effective security during the campaign.
The spokesperson said foolproof security arrangements had been made to facilitate the smooth conduct of the anti-polio drive. Rawalpindi Police remain committed to protect the lives and property of citizens, the spokesperson added.
