APHC leader links Indian policies in Kashmir with Israeli practices in Palestine

ISLAMABAD, Oct 31 (APP):Former Information Secretary of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed concern over Indian policies in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), drawing parallels with Israeli practices in occupied Palestine.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, he said that India’s domicile and settlement policies in IIOJK were raising concerns about attempts to change the demographic composition of the territory.
He said the policies resembled what he described as Israel’s settlement practices in Palestine, while growing defence and security cooperation between India and Israel had raised concerns over the possible transfer of military technologies and practices.
The APHC leader said that the people of Kashmir and Palestine had faced decades of dispossession and repression and continued to seek their UN-recognized right to self-determination.
He called upon the international community to take steps for the protection of human rights, implementation of international law and provision of justice to the people of both territories.
He also urged the international community to oppose demographic changes and support the right of the Kashmiri and Palestinian people to freedom and self-determination.
