National security, sovereignty non-negotiable; says Barrister Danyal

RAWALPINDI, Oct 30 (APP):Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry on Friday reiterated that no compromise would be made on Pakistan’s security, sovereignty, and state stability, asserting that anti-state narratives aimed at destabilizing the country would not be tolerated.
Addressing a ceremony, Danyal paid rich tribute to the martyrs of the Armed Forces, stating that soldiers stationed on harsh battlefields, including Siachen, are guarding the nation’s defense, ideology and sovereignty.
Referring to political dynamics, he pointed out contradictions in JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s political stance regarding opposition elements. He stressed that political leadership must maintain consistency and principled positions on critical matters of national security, avoiding double standards.
Highlighting diplomatic and economic achievements, the Parliamentary Secretary said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan achieved significant diplomatic milestones, citing defense agreements with Saudi Arabia and Turkiye as evidence of the country’s expanding global footprint.
He further added that the PML-N government steered the country away from default through decisive economic measures, emphasizing that the party remains committed to performance, public service, and national reconciliation over political polarization.
