Governor Sindh emphasizes determination, abilities, and dignified inclusion of PwDs in society

KARACHI, Oct 14 (APP):Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi on Wednesday stated that it is our collective responsibility to provide persons with disabilities (PwDs) with protection, equal rights, and equal opportunities for dignified inclusion in society.
Addressing an event organized by the Karachi Disability Network (KDN), the Governor of Sindh congratulated the organization for rendering purposeful services toward the welfare, autonomy, and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
He said that although persons with disabilities may face physical challenges, they possess immense abilities, determination, and courage, which serve as an exemplary model for all of us.
He remarked that institutions like KDN play a vital role in providing opportunities for persons with disabilities to express their capabilities and play an active role in society.
The Governor of Sindh said that Allah Almighty has entrusted humans with the responsibility of supporting one another, and caring for others is a significant test in our lives. Persons with disabilities teach us how life can be lived with dignity, patience, and courage, and how we can express gratitude to our Creator, despite the hardships and imperfections we may face.
He noted that it is unfortunate that, despite having all blessings at their disposal, some people remain engrossed in greed, mutual conflicts, and harming others, whereas the lives of persons with disabilities teach us tolerance, patience, and positive attitudes.
Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi said that the educational struggles and capabilities of persons with disabilities are highly commendable. In particular, reading and writing in Braille demands hard work and continuous practice, but persons with disabilities prove through their dedication and abilities that difficulties cannot stand in the way of true determination and courage.
The Governor of Sindh stated that Allah Almighty has endowed every human with different abilities, and no human is perfect in every respect. Instead of taking pride solely in our own abilities, we should learn to acknowledge the virtues of others, respect them, and help one another.
He expressed his resolve that collective efforts must continue to make persons with disabilities an active, empowered, and dignified part of society so that they can access equal opportunities in all spheres of life.
