ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday welcomed the Presidential Proclamation in the province, saying that the people of KP wanted peace, stability, development and prosperity.
“The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have decided that they will no longer support the Khawarij,” the governor said in a statement issued by his office.
The people will stand by their security forces and fight terrorism until the end, he added.
Kundi said the people of the province wanted a peaceful and prosperous future instead of chaos and unrest.
He said the people of KPK also wanted to promote brotherly relations and mutual cooperation with other provinces.
The governor added that the province’s development and prosperity could be achieved through the sharing of experiences and joint efforts.
Emphasizing the peaceful nature of the people of KP, Kundi said they had never supported terrorism or acts of violence.
He urged the public to refrain from any form of lawbreaking, incitement or rioting.
“Strict action will be taken against those who disrupt peace and order or take the law into their own hands,” the governor warned.
