PESHAWAR, Citizens across different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday celebrated the deliverance from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial government, marking the development with public gatherings, traditional drum beating, and the distribution of sweets.

People in different cities took to the streets to express their relief following the federal government’s decision to declare a state of emergency and impose governor’s rule in the province.

The residents of Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and Tank districts voiced strong support for the federal measures, describing the move as a “Day of Deliverance” and the beginning of a new chapter for the province’s development.

Expressing their grievances regarding the preceding provincial government, the citizens stated that commitments made during the PTI tenure remained unfulfilled, leaving the them to suffer from persistent socio-economic challenges.

The people gathered in large numbers, exchanging greetings and distributing sweets to mark the political shift.

They expressed optimism that the new administrative setup would prioritize regional development, improve law and order, and effectively resolve long-standing public issues.

Stressing a collective outlook toward the future, the residents reiterated their support for initiatives aimed at fostering positive change and stability in the region.
