France’s Astrid Cirotte wins W15 Islamabad women’s singles title

France’s Astrid Cirotte clinched the women’s singles title at the W15 Islamabad – World Tennis Women’s Futures Championships 2026, defeating Thailand’s Kamonwan Yodpetch 7-5, 7-5 in the final at the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex on Sunday.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 (APP):France’s Astrid Cirotte clinched the women’s singles title at the W15 Islamabad – World Tennis Women’s Futures Championships 2026, defeating Thailand’s Kamonwan Yodpetch 7-5, 7-5 in the final at the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex on Sunday.
The first leg of the championship concluded successfully, featuring 30 players from 17 countries, including France, China, Russia, Denmark, Mexico, Uzbekistan, South Africa, the Netherlands, Korea, Nepal, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Thailand, Türkiye, the Czech Republic and Pakistan.
The tournament provided international players with an opportunity to compete at a high level and earn valuable ranking points.
Sponsored by Fatima Group, the event aimed to promote and develop international women’s tennis in Pakistan.
Usam Sharif of Fatima Group attended the closing ceremony as chief guest, while DIG Saleem Marwat was the guest of honour.
The ceremony was also attended by Col. Gul Rehman, Director PTF; Zaira Ahmad Zaka, Secretary PWTA; former Pakistan No. 1 Sarah Mahboob Khan; and Tufail Cheema, Secretary ITA. Players, parents, media representatives and tennis enthusiasts were also present.
The tournament was supervised by Abdullah Haluk Torun of Türkiye, an International Tennis Federation (ITF) Bronze Badge Referee.
Meanwhile, the PTF announced that the main draw of the second leg of the W15 Islamabad – World Tennis Women’s Futures Championships 2026 would commence on October 13 at the PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.
