Ayaz condemns attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport
ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has strongly condemned the attack by Houthi rebels on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, expressing profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Speaker extended his heartfelt condolences and expressed solidarity with the Saudi leadership and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia over the loss of innocent lives.
He said the Parliament and people of Pakistan stood firmly with their brotherly country Saudi Arabia during this difficult time.
Targeting innocent civilians was a grave violation of international law, he said, adding that attacks on civilians and vital installations were unacceptable under any circumstances.
Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that acts of violence posed a serious threat to regional peace, security and stability.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed longstanding fraternal relations based on mutual trust, brotherhood and defence cooperation.
The Speaker reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia in safeguarding its sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, saying the two brotherly countries would continue to maintain their close and enduring ties.
Ayaz Sadiq prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the martyrs the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bless the injured with a speedy recovery.
