Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has stressed the need to protect girls from child marriage and safeguard their rights, saying that early marriage poses a major obstacle to their education, health and a better future.

KARACHI, Oct 11 (APP):Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has stressed the need to protect girls from child marriage and safeguard their rights, saying that early marriage poses a major obstacle to their education, health and a better future.
In his message on the International Day of the Girl Child, the Governor said that effective legislation and strict implementation of laws were essential to eliminate child marriage in Pakistan.
He noted that poverty and outdated social traditions continued to hinder girls’ progress and development.
The Governor said that daughters were a blessing from Allah Almighty and the guarantors of a bright future.
He emphasized that every girl must be provided with equal opportunities for quality education, healthcare, protection and personal development.
Hashmi called for collective efforts to empower girls, urging society to ensure that daughters had the opportunities and support needed to contribute to the country’s progress and bring pride to Pakistan.
