Chairman of the Pakistan-Romania Business Council Sohail Shamim Firpo, presented a proposal for a Pakistan-Romania 100-Day Business Challenge, under which three credible opportunities in trade, technology and investment would be moved toward defined milestones within 100 days.
Atif Farooqi said that PRBC was ready to undertake organizational work on the Pakistani side and proposed a follow-up mechanism based on focal contacts, agreed priority sectors and regular progress reviews.
Speaking after the meeting, Farooqi expressed gratitude to Secretary of State Adrian Pop and Vice President Andrei Niculae for their warm reception and constructive engagement. “We came to Bucharest to build working relationships that deliver results for companies in both countries. We see this meeting as the beginning of a working partnership, not the end of a visit,” he said.
The PRBC thanked Dan Stoenescu, Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, for his leadership and commitment to Pakistan-Romania economic relations, noting that his personal involvement and guidance were central to the delegation’s success.
The Council also thanked the team of the Embassy of Romania in Islamabad for their planning and coordination, and acknowledged the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania for facilitating the delegation’s engagement with Romanian institutions.
