The minister chaired a review meeting to assess progress on the system’s implementation and discuss measures to ensure its timely and effective rollout.
The meeting examined mechanisms for improving the monitoring of pharmaceutical products throughout the supply chain, enhancing transparency and ensuring the availability of safe and quality medicines to the public.
Participants also discussed the challenges associated with the system’s implementation and considered the way forward to ensure its effective operation.
The initiative aims to strengthen oversight of pharmaceutical products, improve traceability and help prevent counterfeit medicines from entering the supply chain.
