IGP Sohail  announces Meesaq Centre for Minorities in Islamabad

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry announced the establishment of a special Meesaq Centre to address the problems of minority communities and provide them with better public services in the federal capital.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry announced the establishment of a special Meesaq Centre to address the problems of minority communities and provide them with better public services in the federal capital.
A police official told APP on Saturday that the announcement was made during a meeting between the IGP Sohail and representatives of the Christian community.
The meeting discussed protection of minority rights, provision of public facilities and measures to improve police services for minority communities.
IGP Sohail said Islamabad Police would establish the Meesaq Centre to address the concerns of minority communities on a priority basis and ensure better facilities for them.
During the meeting, representatives of the Christian community shared their problems and concerns with the IGP.
He listened to their issues and assured them of full cooperation and support from Islamabad Police in resolving their problems.
The IGP Sohail said Islamabad Police would continue taking steps to protect the rights of minority communities and improve public services for all citizens.
