ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP): Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal and the Health Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Friday discussed strengthening federal-provincial coordination to address healthcare challenges and improve access to quality medical services in the region.
During the meeting, they reviewed key health-related issues in Gilgit-Baltistan, including matters falling within the jurisdiction of the federal government, and explored ways to address challenges facing the region’s healthcare sector.
They emphasized the need for effective intergovernmental cooperation to improve healthcare infrastructure, enhance service delivery and facilitate access to quality medical treatment for residents of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Syed Mustafa Kamal expressed his commitment to addressing health-related matters on a priority basis and taking necessary steps within the federal government’s mandate.
The meeting also discussed a future course of action to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two governments, with a focus on improving healthcare services and responding to public health needs in the region.
