Shoaib Khan takes charge as NCCIA Islamabad additional director, vows action against cyber crime

ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP): Muhammad Shoaib Khan assumed charge as Additional Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad and announced a zero-tolerance policy against cyber crime, with a focus on quick action on public complaints.
An NCCIA official told APP on Friday that after assuming charge, the Additional Director held an introductory meeting with officers and staff and directed them to handle every complaint on merit, transparency and without unnecessary delay.
He said protecting citizens from cyber crime and ensuring quick resolution of their complaints would remain his top priorities.
Shoaib directed the staff to ensure that no complaint remained pending without action and that every complainant was treated politely and professionally.
He said strict action would be taken without discrimination against those involved in online financial fraud, harassment, blackmailing, fake social media profiles and other cyber crimes.
The Additional Director also stressed the use of modern technology and digital forensic tools to identify cyber criminals and expose networks involved in illegal online activities.
He directed the officers to improve their response to public complaints and ensure timely action against those involved in cyber crimes.
Shoaib said efforts would be made to turn NCCIA Islamabad into a modern, active and public-friendly organisation, where citizens could receive timely assistance and justice.
