The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Friday, injected Rs 10,908.8 billion through Reverse Repo Purchase and Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based Open Market Operations (OMO) for maintaining liquidity in the market.
SBP injects over Rs 10.9 trillion to maintain liquidity in the market

KARACHI, Oct 09 (APP): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Friday, injected Rs 10,908.8 billion through Reverse Repo Purchase and Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based Open Market Operations (OMO) for maintaining liquidity in the market.
The central bank conducted the Open Market Operation, Reverse Repo Purchase (Injection) for 7 and 14-day tenors on October 09, 2026, and injected Rs 10,389.3 billion against 39 quotes while other Rs 519.5 billion were injected through Shariah Compliant Mudarabah based OMO.
The central bank, for the Reverse Repo Purchase of 14-day tenor, received 35 bids cumulatively offering Rs 10,900.55 billion at the rate of return ranging between 11.51% to 11.56%. The SBP accepted Rs 10,300 billion against all the 35 quotes at 11.51% rate of return. The total amount offered at 11.51% was Rs 4,658 billion, out of which SBP accepted
Rs 4,057.45 billion on a pro rata basis.
Moreover, the SBP also received 4 bids for the 7-day tenor, cumulatively offering Rs 89.3 billion at the rate of return ranging between 11.54% to 11.56%. The SBP accepted the entire amount against all the 4 quotes at 11.54% rate of return.
Meanwhile, SBP also conducted Shariah Compliant Mudarabah-based Open Market Operation for the 7 and 14-day tenors. The central bank received no bid for the 7-day tenor, while 6 quotes were received for the 14-day tenor offering
Rs 546.5 billion at rate of return ranging between 11.54% to 11.56%.
SBP accepted an amount of Rs 519.5 billion against the 6 bids at 11.54% rate of return. The total amount offered at 11.54% was Rs 377 billion, out of which SBP accepted Rs 350 billion on a pro rata basis.
