WHO, Gavi support vaccination outreach in UCs

ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):The World Health Organization (WHO), in partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the Government of Sindh, is conducting a 12-day integrated outreach campaign to vaccinate children missed by routine immunization services across 130 union councils.
The initiative aims to expand access to essential vaccines by reaching children in underserved communities and ensuring they are not left behind in routine immunization efforts.
Through the integrated outreach activities, vaccination teams are engaging with communities to identify and immunize eligible children, helping protect them against vaccine-preventable diseases.
The initiative reflects the continued collaboration between WHO, Gavi and the provincial government to strengthen immunization coverage, improve access to healthcare and protect children’s health.
WHO has emphasized that every child vaccinated represents an important step towards building healthier communities and safeguarding families against preventable diseases.
