CDA begins handing over developed plots in C-14

ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Sohail Ashraf on Friday reviewed development work in Sector C-14 and at Sangjani Interchange, directing officials to expedite pending work and ensure timely completion of the projects.
During his visit to Sector C-14, officials briefed him that basic infrastructure had been completed, while arrangements for electricity supply were in the final stages. Installation of streetlights and signboards on main roads and streets had also been completed, while landscaping and horticulture work was under way.
The CDA has begun handing over possession of developed plots to allottees following completion of the basic infrastructure. Sohail Ashraf directed officials to expedite the process and ensure that eligible allottees received possession without unnecessary delay.
He said meeting Islamabad’s residential needs and ensuring the timely development of new sectors were among the authority’s priorities. He directed the relevant departments to remove administrative and technical bottlenecks and complete the remaining development work on a priority basis.
Later, the CDA chairman visited Sangjani Interchange and reviewed construction progress, quality standards and completion targets. He directed officials to accelerate work and ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe, stressing that construction quality and compliance with approved standards would not be compromised.
He also called for regular monitoring of the projects, prompt resolution of on-site issues and effective coordination among the departments concerned.
