NBF launches Children’s Books Catalogue 2026

National Book Foundation (NBF) inaugurated its comprehensive Children’s Books Catalogue 2026 at the conference room of its headquarters in Islamabad. 

ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):National Book Foundation (NBF) inaugurated its comprehensive Children’s Books Catalogue 2026 at the conference room of its headquarters in Islamabad.
The initiative is part of the efforts being undertaken in line with the vision and directives of NBF Managing Director Dr. Kamran Jahangir to promote reading habits among children, improve access to quality books, and present children’s publications in a comprehensive and well-organised format. The catalogue was inaugurated by Director Headquarters Murad Ali Mohmand.
The ceremony was attended by Nazia Rehman (In-charge General Books), Syed Owais Wasiti (In-charge Stock), Taskeen Qureshi (In-charge Bookshop), Asad Rasool Nagra (In-charge IT Section), Muhammad Adnan Rajab, Gulfam Ashraf Mughal, Dua Batool, Hajira Nawazish, Raja Aftab Ahmed, and Muhammad Shahid Dhareja (Media Focal Person), along with other relevant officers and staff members of the Foundation.
Featuring 235 titles, the catalogue brings together a diverse collection of children’s books published by NBF in a comprehensive and accessible format. By consolidating information about these publications in one place, it will facilitate parents, teachers, students, book lovers, schools, colleges, universities and libraries in selecting books according to their interests and requirements.
Each page of the catalogue provides essential information about the respective book, including its cover image, title, author’s name, number of pages, price, International Standard Book Number (ISBN), and year of publication. This organised presentation enables readers and educational institutions to review available titles, obtain relevant publication details, and make informed selections with greater ease.
The catalogue features children’s books in both Urdu and English. The collection reflects NBF’s commitment to nurturing reading habits among children, stimulating their imagination, expanding their access to knowledge, and making reading an integral part of everyday life.
The catalogue was prepared and designed by the NBF Information Technology (IT) Section team. Asad Rasool Nagra and Muhammad Adnan Rajab made special contributions to the design, while Gulfam Ashraf Mughal, Dua Batool, Hajira Nawazish and Raja Aftab Ahmed provided support in the process.
Through their collective efforts, the team presented the children’s collection in a modern, attractive and well-organised format, making information about available titles more accessible and facilitating book selection for readers and educational institutions.
