ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):Pakistan’s fresh mango exports reached $107.09 million, with shipments of 85,247 tonnes to 49 countries, according to official export figures available with Wealth Pakistan.
Data from the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) shows that Pakistan exported fresh mangoes worth approximately Rs30.21 billion during the reporting period covered by the figures.
The United Kingdom emerged as the largest export market by value, importing Pakistani mangoes worth $29.92 million, with shipments totalling 8,078 tonnes.
The United Arab Emirates ranked second in export value, receiving mangoes worth $17.98 million. However, the UAE was the largest destination by quantity, importing 23,025 tonnes of Pakistani mangoes.
Kazakhstan was another major destination, receiving 18,412 tonnes of mangoes worth $13.99 million, making it the third-largest market by export value and the second-largest by quantity.
Afghanistan ranked fourth in value terms, importing 14,261 tonnes of Pakistani mangoes worth $10.75 million. Oman followed with shipments of 10,067 tonnes valued at $7.53 million.
Together, the five leading markets — the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Oman — accounted for approximately $80.16 million, representing nearly 75% of Pakistan’s total fresh mango export earnings recorded in the data.
Their combined import volume stood at approximately 73,842 tonnes, accounting for nearly 87% of total mango shipments.
The figures also show exports to several European, North American and Gulf markets.
Germany imported Pakistani mangoes worth $4.73 million, followed by Saudi Arabia at $3.14 million, Norway at $2.73 million, Canada at $2.05 million and Qatar at $1.50 million.
Other destinations included Italy, Sweden, Japan, the United States, Bahrain, Tajikistan, Ireland, Australia, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Singapore, Greece, Spain, Malaysia, South Korea, Kuwait, Uzbekistan and the Netherlands.
The export data also records shipments to Hong Kong, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Mauritius, Austria, Romania, Azerbaijan, Finland, Brunei Darussalam, Russia, Iraq, South Africa, Tanzania, the Philippines, Fiji, Turkey, Madagascar and Trinidad and Tobago.
China also featured among Pakistan’s fresh mango export destinations, with shipments valued at $14,510.66 and weighing approximately 11,811 kilogrammes.
Although China’s import volume was considerably smaller than those of the leading destinations, its inclusion in the figures reflects the geographical spread of Pakistani mango shipments.
The data highlights differences in export earnings and shipment volumes across major markets. While the United Kingdom generated the highest export value, the UAE, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan accounted for substantially larger quantities.
The top five destinations collectively generated nearly three-quarters of export earnings, while the remaining markets accounted for approximately one-quarter of the total value.
Overall, Pakistan exported more than 85,000 tonnes of fresh mangoes worth $107.09 million across 49 international markets, with the United Kingdom leading in export earnings and the UAE in shipment volume.
