Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhary has directed that the auction of various commercial plots and other properties, scheduled to be held on Thursday (October 15) should be conducted in a completely transparent, well-organized and merit-based manner.
FDA directed to make plot auction totally transparent

FAISALABAD, Oct 08 (APP): Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhary has directed that the auction of various commercial plots and other properties, scheduled to be held on Thursday (October 15) should be conducted in a completely transparent, well-organized and merit-based manner.
He made it clear that the auction proceedings would be supervised by the Auction Committee and all stages of the process would be completed strictly in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations.
He reviewed the arrangements for the public auction in detail and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers regarding administrative matters, facilities for participants, the auction procedure and other essential arrangements.
Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rand was also present on the occasion.
Director State Management-I Junaid Hassan Manj gave the DG FDA a detailed briefing about the FDA-owned plots selected for sale through public auction, their locations, areas, expected values, terms and conditions of the auction and other related matters.
He informed that 99 Mohalla Shops in Ahmad Nagar, 46 shops at the Commercial Centre, 23 Mohalla Shops and 13 shops at the Commercial Centre in Millat Town Block-A and two shops in Allama Iqbal Colony Block-C would be offered for sale through public auction.
Similarly, a commercial plot measuring approximately 14 marlas in Sir Syed Town-III, Plot No. 27 measuring 4 marlas in Madina Town Extension, would also be included in the auction.
The briefing further revealed that two plots measuring 9.43 kanals and 3.2 kanals adjacent to the Hockey Stadium would be auctioned on a 19-year lease basis, while shops located on different floors of Gulistan Plaza, Millat Road, would also be offered for rent through auction.
Furthermore, plots comprising various areas earmarked for educational and healthcare facilities in 110 private housing schemes and 16 FDA-controlled residential colonies located in different areas would also be offered through public auction.
The initiative is aimed at promoting the establishment of facilities catering to public needs at these locations.
Director State Management-I stated that a comprehensive publicity campaign was underway to disseminate the auction schedule and details of the various plots to the maximum number of people.
Streamers had been displayed along major roads, while billboards had also been installed at prominent locations to ensure that prospective buyers and investors received timely information about the auction.
DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhary directed that all arrangements be completed in accordance with the requirements of transparency and that participants in the auction be provided with complete information regarding the procedure, terms and conditions, and details of the relevant properties.
He stressed that no violation of rules and regulations would be allowed at any stage.
He further stated that the auction of FDA-owned properties was aimed at making effective use of the Authority’s resources and increasing its revenue. Therefore, complete transparency, impartiality and merit must be ensured throughout the auction process, he added.
