Students of the Department of Communication and Media Studies at Air University visited the Central Police Office Islamabad, where they met Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry and learned about modern policing and public services in the federal capital.
Air University students visit ICT Police HQ, meet IGP

ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP): Students of the Department of Communication and Media Studies at Air University visited the Central Police Office Islamabad, where they met Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry and learned about modern policing and public services in the federal capital.

A police official told APP on Thursday that the visiting students were given a detailed briefing on Islamabad Police’s modern initiatives, public-friendly policing, community policing, improved facilities for citizens and the Safe City Project.

During the meeting, IGP Sohail spoke to the students about the importance of modern technology, effective communication, and strong public relations in improving police performance.
He highlighted the role of modern policing methods and better communication between police and citizens in providing effective public services.
The students showed keen interest in the various initiatives taken by Islamabad Police and the use of modern technology in policing.
The visit also provided the students with an opportunity to learn about the working of Islamabad Police and its efforts to improve public services through technology and community policing.
