Petrol price rises by Rs1.82, diesel cut by Rs0.91 per litre

The government on Wednesday increased the price of petrol by Rs1.82 per litre while reducing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.91 per litre, with the revised rates taking effect from October 8.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP): The government on Wednesday increased the price of petrol by Rs1.82 per litre while reducing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.91 per litre, with the revised rates taking effect from October 8.
According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been raised from Rs394.83 to Rs396.65 per litre, while the price of HSD has been cut from Rs395.85 to Rs394.94 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the latest revision was made under the petroleum pricing mechanism approved by the federal government.
It added that the revised rates reflected developments in international oil markets, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other associated costs.
