ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP): The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Balochistan has commenced a three-day provincial work planning meeting to develop targeted immunization activities aimed at ensuring vaccination coverage for children across the province.

The first day of the meeting was led by Provincial EPI Coordinator Dr Aftab Kakar and attended by National EOC Coordinator Capt (Retd) Anwar ul Haq, Provincial EOC Coordinator Inam ul Haq, Dr Asif representing DGHS Balochistan and Dr Waheed Lashari representing FDI.
Representatives of WHO, UNICEF, EMPHNet, the NSTOP programme and civil society organizations also participated in the discussions.
Participants reviewed priorities and strategies for strengthening immunization activities and improving access to life-saving vaccines for children across Balochistan.
The meeting will continue for two more days, with participants working towards a coordinated provincial plan to reach every eligible child with routine and other recommended vaccinations.
